Wallpaper is a great addition to any room in the home. You can browse through thousands of styles, colors, textures, and more at the D.L Richie Paint n' Decorating Center showroom in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.

You need to do no more than pick something new to replace what is currently on the walls in your home. We’ll take care of the rest. It’s all play and no work for you! All wallpaper is fire-resistant. It is usually sold in rolls and placed onto a wall using an adhesive. If you are a DIYer, we can help you choose the right adhesive for your project.

Advantages of wallpaper

This type of wall covering is often ignored. But it is a good choice for both remodeling and new home projects. Advantages are many:

Attaches to any surface, including plaster, prefabricated panels, concrete, painted surfaces, and brick
Good quality products last 15-20 years with unchanged color and appearance
An endless number of patterns, designs, and colors that complement any decor

Vinyl wallpaper

Vinyl wallpaperVinyl comes in four varieties and is very popular:

Solid vinyl contains nothing more than vinyl. It’s waterproof, scratch-resistant, very durable, and easy to clean. It’s ideal for moist, humid environments.
Vinyl coated is made of paper and coated with vinyl. It should be lightly and infrequently cleaned, making it good for light traffic areas like a bedroom.
Paper-backed vinyl is solid vinyl with paper attached to the back. It is stain and grease resistant and easy to clean, but not appropriate for bathrooms.
Fabric-backed vinyl is solid vinyl with a sheet of fabric attached to the back. It’s ideal for covering walls that are less than perfect because of its thickness.

Wallpaper sales and installation

At this time we no longer hang the paper we sell. Our Expert Paper Hanger of 40 years retired as of January 1, 2026. We still have the books to browse and purchase paper, but you'll have to find your own paper hanger. We are working diligently to find another qualified hanger.
