Green Planet Paints®
A Natural Alternative
Green Planet Paints ® was born in a small rural community in southern Arizona with a commitment to creating local jobs and maintaining a quality of life for families in the community. Surrounded by spectacular natural beauty, they were reminded to create a product that is low impact, low inherent energy in production, and is easy on the planet. These are the values that motivate the work at Green Planet Paints.
A NATURAL ALTERNATIVE...GREEN PLANET PAINTS® can be used on conventional interior surfaces -- plasters, drywall, wood, and painted walls.
These paints use clay pigments inspired by Mayan Indians over a thousand years ago. The natural beauty of the palette is derived from the mystique of these materials.
Their paints are GREEN by design, have a small environmental footprint, and are much more than simply zero-VOC*.
They use:
-Sustainable-produced soy resin instead of petroleum-based acrylic resins
-mineral pigments instead of synthetic dyes
-simple low impact additives
Rich mineral colors ** Ancient Mayan clay pigments ** No VOC's ** Renewable, plant-based resin ** Simple, non-toxic ingredients **Easy to use ** easy to clean up.
EASY APPLICATION ...A gallon of Clay Paint will cover up to 350 square feet on a smooth surface. We suggest an undercoat and topcoat for greatest satisfaction. Surfaces with texture will require additional material, resulting in coverage closer to 275 square feet.
Prepare surface by cleaning. Sand or prime semi-gloss or gloss painted surfaces before application. Apply with a soft brush or 1/4"nap roller to create a smooth surface. Feather edges to blend. The paint may be thinned with water to use as a color wash. All of the colors can be mixed together to create unique tones. Let dry completely before applying a second coat. After drying, this paint will continue to harden of the course of a week.
NATURAL ELEGANCE - Green Planet Paints® Clay Paint. Soft, matte surfaces that exude natural beauty, creating intimate interior spaces.
